I have been a fan of Pieminister for quite some time now, their vegan pie ‘Kevin’ is ridiculously tasty and I often wonder down to Borough Market to grab one if I am in need of some good quality comfort food. So, it wasn’t even a question really, when asked to go down to their Brixton restaurant and try out their new vegan Sunday lunch, in fact we were very much looking forward to it.
The restaurant in Brixton had a great vibe and was packed full of people getting their Sunday Eat on, which is no surprise as the team were exceptionally helpful and friendly too which made the meal even more enjoyable.
We both opted for the vegan lunch which consisted of Kevin of course, with mini roast potatoes, carrot and swede mash, cranberry stuffing balls as well as healthy glug of outstanding gravy it was a meal that we both devoured in record time and spoke only once finished. Everything was cooked to perfection, it was the ultimate Autumn Comfort Stack that I could easily eat over and over again.
Paired with a great vegan ale and a lemonade for me as I was the designated piglet behind the wheel, this is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately they do not sell Sundaes in their London restaurants but if you walk less that 2 minutes around the corner, Ms Cupcake, the vegan heaven of cakes and cookies, will happily satisfy any sweet tooth cravings.
