Weekend in Welsh Paradise

A short drive from New Quay is a wonderful village of Rhydlewis and within this little village we stayed in a Gypsy wagon for a weekend, the idea was to completely destress before the Christmas madness began. This is exactly what happened, though the experience was far more magical that I could ever have imagined.

Not only was the Gypsy wagon absolutely wonderful, so easy to imagine what it would have been like when it was originally built almost 100 years ago. The decor inside was simply yet cosy and made for a wonderful stay, even in mid December, with a heated bed and a heaters inside it was never cold and the bed was so comfortable that I managed to get 2 very comfortable nights sleep, which is rare for me, with my bad back,so was very happy about this!

The space that you are staying in which is an acre entirely to yourself, is the most peaceful and serene. With a stream at the bottom of the land, which a firepit and chairs have been thoughtfully placed next to, so you can enjoy being submerged in nature.

This was a place of being away from it all with a sofa area outside, that came with yet another firepit, this time, with rocks that you could paint to mark your memories of this incredible place or just get creative, with the stars visible for both nights of our stay it was lovely to take a hot drink and sit by the fire gazing up at them.

The joy of this place continues, as the tree house-themed kitchen, bathroom and lounge area – this was perfect. It was cosy with the log burner fire that made the rooms toasty, I will admit to having a nap or two on the sofa which was situated perfectly in front of the fire.

The kitchen was a dream, with 2 hobs, a microwave, kettle, everything you could ever need in terms of tableware and cutlery as well as pots and pans and a fridge freezer, which housed my copious amounts of food for the weekend.

With an adorable table that was perfect for the 2 of us to sit and have a nice meal, this place is the ultimate retreat for R and R. The design of the kitchen was so osy and it immediately felt like home. With cute cups and even little chairs and tables for the fairies this was just lovely.

Their state of the art shower, was perfectly hot for every shower and the heated towel rail came in handy for making sure towels and pyjamas were nice and warm for after the shower. It seems to me everything had been worked out for the best time of your life. I really cannot fault this place, as it was the most memorable weekend and one I will think of often I am sure.

We could not get signal on our phone whilst there, which was something we both agreed had been quite a nice thing, as we were entirely cut off from the outside world and I think this is necessary from time to time in order to fully recharge.

Just a short drive away to some incredible views along the beaches and even in mid-December, wrapped up warm, it was a lovely place to walk and have some chips, before heading back to the warm tree house to relax in front of the fire with a cup of coffee and a good book.Would recommend this place to anyone who is wanting to have a magical time and get away from everything for a few days. Stunning location and amazing facilities, this place is highly PBP approved!
