Freakishly Festive Piglet

Like many of you reading this, I shudder when I see that there are Advent calendars in the shops already, Xmas in October?! As mad as it seems, we do all need to prepare for this time of year and although October seems ultra organised, November really isn’t that far away and it really does come around in a blink of an eye.

I know, I know, you are thinking, ‘but piglet you’re a scrooge for Xmas’ and you would absolutely be right, but there is nothing worse than having to rush to the shops only to find empty shelves so I am making sure that everything that can be bought in advance, is.

So let’s talk through what can be bought in advance and what can be left to the last minute, as well as what can be bought suitable for vegans and what can be made suitable for vegans. I will be sharing some of my favourite roast dinner elements to add to your plates on Xmas day, as well as food to be enjoyed on cosy winter nights.

Of course, I will also be sharing ideas for boozy beverages for whenever you feel like it! I always say to drink responsibly but at the same time I am aware of the pressures the festive seasons bring, so if you are wanting a cocktail to take your mind off the stresses of life, I will be sharing a few I have been ‘tasting’ since July.

I will be posting a new idea or recipe every Friday for you to try over the weekends, from appetizers to sharing boards, cheese boards to vegan roast, I’ve got a cruelty free Christmas covered and am hoping you will enjoy my recipes as much as I do!

I will also be throwing in some ideas of what to do during the Winter months, whether they be restaurants to enjoy festive feasts or places to go and have fun, each week will feature something different for you all to get involved in. As well as my Top 10 Restaurants of 2017.

So get out your most obnoxious Xmas jumper and try as hard as I do to at least ‘look’ festive, as we eat our way through the last 2/12th of the year together in style! If you are thinking of adding any ideas of your own to the party, they are always welcome and please tag me in any photos of my recipes on IG so I can see your Winter Wonders too.
