Cabbage + Peas

Cabbage & Peas work so well together especially this time of year. I tend to use savoy cabbage because it is so quick to prepare and the colour works so well with the peas.

I finish them off with a great amount of garlic and seasoning to give the cabbage and peas a glaze and a lot of flavour.

This will easily serve 4 and it takes less than 15 minutes. 

Ingredients –

1 x savoy cabbage (prepped and sliced)

1 cup x peas (frozen is fine)

1/4 cup x vegan spread

5 tablespoons x garlic puree

Salt and pepper for seasoning

Method –

  1. Boil the cabbage and peas in a saucepan for approximatey 6 minutes.
  2. Drain and set aside.
  3. In the same pan place the vegan spread and garlic and melt down, ensure the mix is well stirred.
  4. Add the cabbbage and peas and stir, ensure that everything is well coated.
  5. Serve immediately, or save for a wonderful bubble and squeak the next day!
